Welcome to the BYU Chinese Language Fair

The Department of Asian and Near Eastern Languages at Brigham Young University invites all Utah junior high and high school students learning Chinese (grades 6–12) to participate in the 2026 BYU Chinese Language Fair. At the fair, students may register for competitions to showcase their language skills and join activities designed to deepen their understanding of Chinese culture. Students are welcome to participate in the competition only (online, no fee required), attend the activities only (in person, $6 fee), or do both.

Schedule

  • Students arrive and check in: 9:00 – 9:15am (1102 JKB).
  • Events are scheduled between 9:15 and 11:30am
  • Lunch: 11:30 – 11:45am (TNRB Atriums)
  • Closing assembly: 11:45am – 12:00pm (251 TNRB)

Drop-off and pick-up at Lot 2A in front of BYU Museum of Art (MOA); School buses can park at the lot next to BYU Stadium. More details in “Parking and Maps” tab.
